Da die Wanderzeit heute nur etwa 3Stunden beträgt, kannst du die Zeit zur freien Verfügung nutzen, um einige kurze Akklimatisierungsspaziergänge rund um das Shira 2 Camp und oberhalb davon zu unternehmen. Dieses Camp liegt ungeschützter als das Camp der vorherigen Nacht. Es kann windiger und kälter sein und die Temperaturen fallen möglicherweise unter null.

Um dich auf den finalen Aufstieg in derselben Nacht vorzubereiten, machst du dich vor Einbruch der Dunkelheit mit dem Gelände vertraut und bereitest deine Ausrüstung und Thermokleidung für den Gipfelsturm vor. Schlafen kann schwierig sein, aber leg dich nach dem Abendessen hin, um es zu versuchen und dich für die letzten 1.295 m Aufstieg auszuruhen.

Barafu Camp/Mweka Camp

Dieses Teilstück ist der längste und mental und körperlich anspruchsvollste Abschnitt der Wanderung. Aber das Gefühl, den Berg Kilimandscharo erobert zu haben, wird dir für immer in Erinnerung bleiben.

Mweka Camp/Moshi

Dauer: 1 Tag

Ankunft in Moshi am Nachmittag. Du hast Zeit, um zu entspannen, zu duschen und einen Drink zu genießen. Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Aufstieg auf den Kilimandscharo! Vor dem Abendessen wirst du von den Mamas der Moshi-Frauenkooperative, einem von G Adventures unterstützten Projekt, begrüßt und zu deinem Aufstieg beglückwünscht. Zur Erinnerung an all deine Anstrengungen am Berg werden sie dir ein Geschenk und ein Zertifikat überreichen.

Moshi/Arusha

Dauer: 1 Tag

Fahrt in die malerische Stadt Arusha. Unterwegs besuchen wir die Moshi-Frauenkooperative, um zu erfahren, worum es bei diesem Projekt geht. Triff die Frauen und erfahre mehr über ihr Leben. Optional kannst du auch ein paar Souvenirs erwerben.Abends stoßen möglicherweise weitere G Adventures Reisende hinzu, die aus Kenia anreisen oder den Safariabschnitt ihrer Tansaniareise starten. Informiere dich über die Uhrzeit und den Ort eines Begrüßungstreffens. Normalerweise findet es ungefähr um 18:00 Uhr statt.

Arusha/Mto wa Mbu

Dauer: 1 Tag

Reise in das Dorf Mto wa Mbu und lerne das Dorfleben hier bei einem Kulturspaziergang kennen. Triff die Frauen, die die Dorfbesichtigungen leiten und genieße ein leckeres hausgemachtes traditionelles Mittagessen.Den Nachmittag verbringst du mit Tierbeobachtungen entlang der Hauptstraße, die durch einen grünen, kühlen Wald voller Ficus-Bäume und Ananasgewächse führt.Diese Landschaft ist wirklich atemberaubend und die westliche Wand des Rift Valley bietet eine fantastisch schöne Kulisse. Halte Ausschau nach phänomenalen Vögeln, auf Bäume kletternden Löwen, Elefanten, Giraffen und Flusspferden.

Lake Manyara Nationalpark/Serengeti Nationalpark

Wir fahren durch das Landschaftsschutzgebiet Ngorongoro und weiter in den Serengeti-Nationalpark. Unterwegs kannst du die unendlichen Weiten dieses Gebiets bewundern und die zahlreichen Tier- und Vogelarten beobachten, während wir durch diese mit Akazien gespickte Savanne fahren.
